Reply:As a woman that has done this i believe your wife is trying to tell you it would be nice if you sent her flowers on her birthday or any other occasion where you would buy a gift. The reason i have done this is to hopefully make him realize that is what i would want ( mainly goes unnoticed lol ) but i than get to enjoy the flowers anyway. Or perhaps she is letting you know that the gifts you are giving her are not appropriate to her and she is letting you know this by giving something you would deem inappropriate also.

They maybe be uncomfortable with it at first, but they realize she thought of them and went out of her way to do something.
