Can anyone give me a good suggestion for flowers on a birthday for a girlfriend other than roses?

try orchids ... they are beautiful, simple and elegant ... also, consider a potted (or other type of potted arrangement) as fresh cut flowers will only last about a week or two (if you%26#039;re lucky) and she will have it longer





another idea may be chinese bamboo - it%26#039;s different and may not be %26quot;romantic%26quot; in the traditonal sense, but can be very symbolic of the wish you have for her (each number of stalks has a different meaning) and they are very easy to take care of ... they come in an array of containers surrounded with rocks/pebbles (you can also customize your own) and you just make sure you water it.

Orchids are good, but rather expensive and rare to find in your average floral shop.





You might try just getting an arangement made up from flowers that are her favorite color - my husband did that for our anniversary once when we were dating. I loved it.
Reply:lotus are the most elegant, also expensive and extravagant.





Ask her what she likes and buy them for her. If not lotus, daisies, or chrysanthemums are good
